Why Hire a Painter?!

Why Hire a Painter?!

Dime a dozen…

With so many painting companies popping up everywhere there has never been more selection to choose from when looking for a painting contractor.

Painting is easy…

A common misconception among many people is that there is not that much to painting or that almost anyone can do it.  However, many homeowners have picked up a brush with that in mind only to quite in frustration hours later considering outside help.  From the outside, painting does seem quite simple in some respects and its understandable why many people attempt there own projects.

What to consider…

Depending on the project there is much to consider before picking up that roller or brush.  For example, preparation of the surface being painted is probably one of the most important steps and is usually where the inexperienced painter fails.  If the thing being painted is not prepared properly the whole job can look terrible within a matter of months and you might find yourself in a worse situation than when you started.  An experienced painter will know what is required to make sure that the paint properly adheres to the surface and creates a strong bond that will last for years to come.  Whether your doing the outside of your house or the bathroom ceiling, preparation is key even before deciding the proper paint product to use.

Proper Product and Application

An experienced painter will be able to help pick the best paint or stain to use for your project.  There has never been more selection available on the market and not all products are created equal.  It takes years of experience of working with many different products to understand the right product for the right situation.

Once you have the right product you need to know the best way to apply it.  Sometimes brushing and rolling just doesn’t cut it and spraying is the only way to go.  Spraying can give you that factory like finish and make old stuff look like its brand new.

If you have any questions regarding anything in this post I’d be happy to help.
